ANTIRACISM BOOKS

This is a topic I am new to but I really dove in head first and read as much as I could.

The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindness

Color of the Law: A Forgotten History of How Our Government Segregated America

If you only read one book on the topic of antiracism, please let it be this one.

This book was much more academic and almost read like a textbook. The dense reading is worth it for the rich content.

I'm Still Here: Black Dignity in a World Made for Whiteness

Austin Channing Brown shares her raw and authentic story in this book. It is a quicker read and a great lesson in empathy.

I rarely read nonfiction but this book was worth making an exception for.

As with all reading lists I make I will only feature books I have personally read, so this will continue to be updated as time goes!
