Full Focus Planner

There is no singlE "Right" way to do this.. but this is the method that works for me!

Set a Pace

I personally use the Full Focus Planner (LINK), which means I go through this process quarterly. I try to spend a few hours a day spread out for about a week on it.

List every category of your life

There is some overlap for most people but there are also unique categories for everyone and their life. I usually have 12-18 categories. I start this list from scratch each quarter because I don't want to limit myself, but I keep my old ones and look back if I need inspiration. Some of my categories usually include fitness, spiritual, career, financial, nutrition, sleep, and more.

Write out EVERYTHING you can think of for each category

No dream is too big or too small for this list. This part is truly the blue sky brainstorm (and the most fun in my opinion!). Each category usually ends up with 3-8 goals in it and last time I had a total of about 50 things written out.

Narrow it down to the 5-8 most important & fulfilling goals

As much as I would love to accomplish all 50 of the goals I listed, this is not even remotely practical. Going back through and narrowing down the list to my top 10-12 and then cutting that list into my top 5-8.

Then.. go in deep for the WHY

This part is super important. Making sure you get to the core of why these are your goals is critical to keeping you motivated

Habit goals vs. achievement goals
